I would like to ask if you have any procedure or has been dealing
before with the same issue that we have in our company.
We have a Central Server and aproximately 12 remote offices with
aproximately five thousands computers.
When we launch the installation and uninstallation of an
application from Desktop Central it will copy
all files and folders from Desktop Central repository to
C:\Program
Files\DesktopCentral_Agent\swrepository\swuploads of the client computer.
Then
we unzip the folders and start the installation or uninstallation.
The
installation or Uninstallation of large application as Office
package or SAP it takes hours, but sometimes we need to install them
in asap in other resolver or check problems.
According
to your manualas large applications must to be install thru URL that
means from network, with that we avoid to copy all files into
clients workstations.
The
problem we have is that we have twelve distribution servers and the
only idea I have is to create twelve software configuration one per
each site and application so that we can installed them from the
distribution server belong to the client workstation.
Do
you have any idea how to manage this problem?
