Build number is 80226.
I setup a Computer Custom Group (static) and placed 6 PCs from the Workgroup "Workgroup" into it. I then turned on 3 of these "test" PCs (XP. Vista, and W7) and and all put one configuration reported they deployed. I plan to remove these three and then add them back to the Custom group and see if the configurations deploy again (which is my goal).
The one that did not deploy is a screen saver registry update which is user configuration. I could not setup a custom group based on user names for the workgroup "workgroup" as I had no way to select only users for specific PCs. I reconfigured this to Remote Office and selected the "Workgroup" domain. This is a major issue because we have no AD plans for these 1300 or so PCs and are doing our best to manage them by remote office. We really need to be able to create dynamic groups based on a set of Remote offices without regard to Workgroup/Domain name.
I need to be able to create a dynamic group and tell it to include all computers in several Remote offices. I could then assign specific configurations to this dynamic group. Currently I cannot do that.
I will let you know how today's testing proceeds.
