Just wanted to quick follow up and post the results:
It is possible to deploy software and also get an interaction with the desktop ( logged in user)
the key is to deploy the software as 'install software to user'
we had a group of computer we tried to push the bundle to and that apparently did not work,
but after creating a group of user and pushed it to that one it worked like a charm.
