Hi Romina_k_vala.
Thank you for contacting support.
For uninstalling Exe software you would need to add the appropriate
silent switches.
Also the steps silent switches vary from application to application
and vendor to vendor.
It is recommended to check with the vendor or refer the concerned
package instructions to get the silent switches.
It is not necessary to upload the uninstall.exe while adding the
package, instead simply specify the complete path of the uninstall.exe
location in the local computer will be enough.
For Yahoo! Messenger removal we are investigating and will update
on we find the solution.
For Chrome uninstall please follow the instructions below.
1) Chrome Enterprise Installation :
Chrome enterprise installation is MSI based installation and hence
no silent uninstall switch is required.
2) Chrome User Based Installation :
Removing the
Standard version is bit tricky. The silent Switches Suggested by
vendor is "--uninstall --force-uninstall". However, this
option is not removing the Chrome silently and due to this I got
error message like incorrect function/wait operation timed out.
Finally decide to
use the File Folder operation configuration to Remove the Google
Chrome from the User Profile Folder. Here's the steps:
- Create File Folder User Configuration
- Choose Delete and Delete a Folder option in Define Configuration (Step 2)
- In Source Folder put this path without quotes "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\" for Windows 7 and for Windows XP "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome"
- Select the Users for the Target
Note: Quick Launch/Shortcuts will not be removed from the end
user machine.
Please refer the screenshot below clarity.
Regards,
