Hi,
Another option to uninstall software is to go to Inventory - Software, then click on the red recycle bin in the Action column. I have only tried this for a few applications but so far this has worked well. And this is much faster than creating a package with uninstall switches.
I am however wondering, how does Desktop Central know how to uninstall software? Is this information fetched from the registry? I know for common applications you can usually find the UninstallString in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. Does Desktop Central make use of the UninstallString? If someone could clarify this, that would be great.
Thanks
Stefan
