The deployed configuration details will be present in the registry of the client machine and configurations will be deployed based on this information.
By wiping the machine if you perform a fresh image ( which resets the registry ) and attach the machine back with same machine name then all the previous configurations which had this machine in target will deploy again eventually installing the software as well.
